I'm the student of 11th science.
I wish to join NDA after my 12th Science.
What will be the procedure I have to apply
for joining NDA?

NDA stands for National Defence Academy. To join in NDA, you need to appear in NDA examination. The NDA examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year for candidates who are interested to join in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force. Eligibility criteria required to appear in NDA examination is mentioned below :-

1. Nationality :-
You must be a citizen of India.

2. Educational Qualification :-
You must have completed 12th standard or equivalent in any discipline from a recognised board. 3. Age Limit :-
You must have attained the minimum age of 16 1/2 years and should not exceed the maximum age of 19 years.

4. Gender :-
You must be a Male candidate.

5. Martial Status :-
You must be an Unmarried Male candidate.

6. Physical Fitness :-
You must be Physically fit as physical standards mentioned in the UPSC NDA examination notification.

How to Apply ?
You can apply for NDA examination by visiting the UPSC official website http://upsconline.nic.in/.

Selection Procedure :-
1. Written Test
2. Personal Interview

NDA stands for National Defence Academy commenced by UPSC every year twice.

Eligibility Criteria:
For applying in NDA Exam, your age must lie between 16.5 to 19 years.
However, after the release of notification you must check whether your age lies between the given range or not.
Secondly, only Unmarried Male Candidates are eligible to appear in NDA Exam.
Also, you must be 10+2 appearing or passed for appearing in NDA Exam.
There is no percentage criteria for 10+2 in NDA Exam.

How To Apply:
For applying in NDA Exam, you will have to visit UPSC Official Online Web Portal i.e. http://upsconline.nic.in
Here, you will see two registrations of NDA exam i.e. Part-I and Part-II.
You will have to complete both the Parts completely for successfully submitting NDA Application.
Part-I registration includes your personal details while the Part-II registration includes Fees payment, Examination Centre choice, Photo Upload, Signature Upload, etc.

Just after a month, NDA-I exam is going to commence on 19 April, 2015.
However, last date to apply for NDA-I Exam was 23 January, 2015 which is over now.
Notifications of NDA-I released on 27 December, 2014.
If you wish to apply for next NDA Exam, then you can fill up form for NDA-II Exam on 20 June, 2015 and onwards.
And the NDA-II Exam will commenced on 27 September, 2015.

Procedure for NDA exam:-

1.Written test
2.Physical test
3.Medical
4.Interview

Written test is conducted by UPSC but other 3 steps are conducted by SSB.

NDA stands for National Defence Service exam. NDA Examination is conducted for 3 wings-Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army.

The candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between 16.5 years to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

To get the admission in NDA you have to write the written examination conducted by the NDA every year for 12th appearing or passed students.

After the NDA written if you qualify for the written examination then you will be called for the SSB which is the 5 days procedure.

If you qualify the SSB too then you will be called for the medical and if qualified in that too then you will gt the admission in the NDA.
