NDA (National Defence Academy) is conducted two times every year i.e., NDA-I and NDA-II.
NDA is conducted by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).

NDA has three wings:

. Indian Army
. Indian Navy
. Indian Air Force

Eligibility Criteria:

. Candidates must be Citizen of India.

. Age Limit: 16 ½ to 19 yrs as of first day of the month in which course is due to commence.

. Qualification: 12th Class of 10+2 System of Education/Equivalent for Army and with Physics and Maths for AF/Navy

. Marital Status : Unmarried

. Only Male Candidates are eligible.

Exam Selection Procedure:

1. Written examination

2. SSB

3. Medical test

4. Interview

National Defence Academy(NDA) examination is one of the most popular entrance exams among the students after class 12th who are looking to make their career In the Indian Defence Forces.

National Defence Academy (NDA) examination is conducted by UPSC every year for the admission of candidates for ARMY, AIR FORCE & NAVAL wings.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA :

* Candidate must be a citizen of India.

* Candidate must be Unmarried male and have not born earlier than 2nd July, 1996 and not later than 01st July, 1999.

* For Army Wing : Candidate must have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination from a recognized State education Board/ University.

* For Air force and Naval wing : Candidate must have passed class 12 or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized State education Board/ University.

* Candidate must be Physically fit according to the Physical Standards of the Admission.

IMPORTANT DATES :

* Date of notification : December 27, 2014.

* Last Date for submission of Application : January 23, 2015.

* Date of NDA examination : April 19, 2015.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE :

* Candidate should apply Online only at http://www.upsconline.nic.in

* Read the Instructions Before filling the application form.

* Pay the Prescribed Fee.

* Select the Test center.

* Take a prints of application form for Future reference.

You cannot join in NDA directly after completion of your 12th standard. To join in National Defence Academy (NDA), you need to appear in NDA examination after completion of your 12th standard from a recognised board. NDA examination is conducted by Union Public Service Commission twice a year for candidates who are interested to join in Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wings.

Eligibility Criteria :-

Candidates who have qualified in Written test will be called for Interview round and those who perform well in Interview will be finally selected into National Defence Academy.

NDA stands for National Defence Service exam. NDA Examination is conducted for 3 wings-Indian Air Force, Indian Navy and Indian Army.

The candidates who have completed the 12th standard from a recognized board or equivalent exam are eligible for NDA exam. Final year of 12th standard candidate are eligible for NDA exam.

Your age should be in between to 16.5 years to 19 years. There is no age relaxation for SC/ST candidates.

Only 12th standard candidates are eligible for NDA exam.

Procedure for NDA exam:-

1.Written test
2.Physical test
3.Medical
4.Interview

Written test is conducted by UPSC but others 3 steps are conducted by SSB.

Notification for NDA exam-

Date of Notification: 27th December 2014
Last date for submission of application: 23rd January 2015
Date of Examination: 19th April 2015

You can join NDA after 12th standard. Following are some information regarding NDA that you must be aware of.

If it is joining the Army right before graduation that
you are looking for, then you must be certainly
interested in NDA ( National Defence Academy ). It is
the Premier Joint Services Academy in India.

For joining the Indian Army as an officer
through NDA, he must be not more than 19 years of
age, while the course commences at NDA. So, a
science student should try and join it while appearing
in 11th standard, while appearing in 12th standard or
right after passing out of 12th standard. Note that
you should be careful about the age limit of 19
years.

You can join National Defense Academy after 12th. For joining it you have to complete your 12th with PCM. After that a entrance exam will be conduct by UPSC for passed student. Age limit for this examination is in between 16 1/2 to 19 1/2 years.

After Written exam qualified students are called for SSB Interview. This is a seven day's procedure where they test candidate Physically, Mentally as well as psychologically.

You also have another option for entry in NDA. That is Technical Entry. Under this scheme you have to fill form first and the candidate's are called on the behalf of their 12th Percentage. They release their Cut Off list and selected candidate's are called for SSB.
