IIT JEE is the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination. Joint Entrance Examination has two stages Mains and Advanced.
The score JEE Main and 10+2 percentage marks is taken together to decide the rank in JEE mains for admission in various National Institute of Technology and government engineering colleges. Candidates who clear JEE Mains become eligible for the Advanced exam. Yes, of course, previous year CBSE marks scored is valid for JEE Mains and Advanced exam. But you must be aware of the fact that you have three attempts for JEE mains and two attempts in JEE advanced. One attempt is considered in the passing year of your 10+2 board exam and rest attempts in coming consecutive years. |

As a candidate can appear JEE mains a maximum number of 3 consecutive attempts. If for the first time the candidate has not qualified then the candidate is allowed to appear in the next year. But the class 12 marks will remain same and valid for 3 attempts. As any candidate can appear for class 12 examination only once. So, the previous year marks are valid. |
