Indian Air Force recruits candidates via the exam ; NDA - National Defense Academy which is conducted every year by the UPSC.

Now requirements for NDA are :

1. Only unmarried male candidates with their ages between 16.5 to 19 years can apply.

2. They should have passed 10+2 with a minimum 60% aggregate and Maths being a compulsory subject if you wish to apply for the Indian Air Force or Navy.

3. A relaxation of 5 % is given to the SC/ST/OBC candidates.

Since you do not have a bare 50% aggregate in your 12th, I am not very sure whether you can apply for NDA or not.

You won't be eligible to get in the Indian Air Force.

Yes, You are eligible for Indian Air Force After completing your 12Th examination with Physics and Maths as a compulsory subjects.

And After completing your 12Th examination with PCM, You are eligible for NDA Examination to Join Indian Air Force.

So, If Your Aim is to Join Indian Air Force, then please complete your 12Th examination and then you are eligible for NDA Examination, Final year appearing candidates are also eligible for NDA Examination.

Only Unmarried Male candidates are eligible to apply for National Defense Academy.

Age Eligiblity :

To apply for NDA Examination, your age should between 16.5 to 19 years.

No, Upper age relaxation is applicable for any Candidates in NDA.

Important Date of NDA (I) 2012 Examination :

The Notification of NDA (I) 2012 Examination will be Published in the employment newspaper or in the UPSC Website : 31/Dec/2011.

Last date of Fill the Online application form : 30/Jan/2012.

Examination date : 15/April/2012.

>> So, If you have already completed your 12Th examination with PCM, Then you are eligible to Join Indian Air Force After Cracked the NDA Examination.

How To Join Indian Air Force After 12th

In order to join the Indian Air Force after 12th..you need to appear for the NDA exam which is held twice a year in the months of April and August..

The next NDA exam is going to be held on 15th April,2012 and the release date for the forms is 31st December,2011 and the last date for form submission is 30th January,2012..

The candidates interested in appearing for NDA1 of 2012 should fulfill the following conditions first :-

1) You should be in the age limit of 16.5-19 years

2) You should be a 12th pass out with Physics,Chemistry and Maths as your subjects in 12th since you wish to join the Air Force..

You just need to be a 12th pass out..

There is no restriction of percentage for appearing in the NDA..

Yes you are eligible for Indian Air Force after passing 12th with 49% in PCM for which you have to appear and crack NDA(NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY) exam conducted by UPSC twice every year for an entry in to the three wing i.e. Army, Navy and Air Force.

To appear NDA there is no particular criteria of percentage of marks, only unmarried Indian citizen within age group of 16.5 years to 19 years who has completed 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics can apply for NDA for making an entry to Indian Air Force. I am sorry to say that you are not eligible for AIR FORCE after 12th through N.D.A. because your age is above 19 year.

you can join after B.Sc THROUGH CDS exam.
the age limit for CDS exam is 19-24 year.

You are not eligible for IAF as you do not have 60% in class 12th.

After passing 12th with PCM you can apply for Commissioned Officer in Indian Air Force through appearing NDA exam.

NDA - NATIONAL DEFENCE ACADEMY exam conducted by UPSC twicw every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The candidate must be an unmarried Indian male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental health, is eligible to apply for Indian Air Force of NDA.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.
