Sir, I don’t know how to write the Statement of purpose? I want to study MS in Cambridge University for that I need to write Statement of purpose. I have searched alot but didn’t find the accurate SOP. So, I need to know the way to write.

The purpose of an SOP is to convince the university’s faculty i.e. Selection committee, that you have the potential to succeed in the chosen graduate study. It should reflect you as someone who is:

- Passionately interested in the field

- Intelligent and well-prepared, academically and personally

- Capable of taking on the challenges of grad school

- Capable of coordinating with professors and college mates

- Capable of completing the graduate degree on time

- A potential student who will be able to make the institute proud in your future career.

That said, you must state clearly your intentions to go overseas.

To help you while writing, here are the four Ws your statement should explain:

i) Why are you applying to the university

ii) Why should they want you as a student

iii) Why are you interested in your chosen subject(s)

iv) What impact will it bring on your future career aspirations
