GRE stands for Graduate Record Test. It is a standardised test that is conducted by Educational Testing Service (ETS) for candidates who wish to get admission in Graduate schools in United States.

GRE Examination Pattern :-
The GRE examination consists of three sections as mentioned below :-
1. Verbal Reasoning :–
The GRE Verbal Reasoning section tests your ability to analyze any written material and extract information from it. Almost half of the questions require you to read passages and answer questions related to them, the rest tests your vocabulary usage by reading, completing or relating sentences. The Verbal Reasoning section has the following parts :-

2. Quantitative Reasoning –
The GRE Quantitative section tests a candidate’s ability to understand, analyze and interpret quantitative information. It covers basic mathematical skills you have developed during high school like arithmetic concepts, geometry, algebra, probability and statistics.

3. Analytical Writing –
The GRE Analytical Writing tests your critical thinking and analytical writing skills. It doesn’t check for your subject knowledge but your ability to construct an essay by supporting it with complex ideas and arguments.

GRE Examination Fee :-
The GRE examination fee will cost around $195.

GRE Examination Score Validity :-
The GRE examination score is valid for a period of 5 years.
