Should we give both GRE General and Subject wise test? Preparation pattern and syllabus for each?
There are two types of GRE exams- GENERAL and SUBJECTWISE.
Do we have to give both exams? What's the paper pattern for each? What is its syllabus? |

If you have done your under-graduation in any of the following fields, then you have to take GRE Subject test.
->Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology ->Biology ->Chemistry ->Literature in English ->Mathematics ->Physics ->Psychology Otherwise, you should appear for General test. And there is no need to appear for both the exams.you should appear for anyone of the exams by considering your field of study. General GRE Exam Pattern:- The GRE exam is conducted in three sections Section I:- 1) Verbal Reasoning i) Reading Comprehension ii) Text Completion iii) Sentence Equivalence Section II:- 1) Quantitative Reasoning Section III:- 1) Analytical Writing Assessment i) Issue-Task essay ii )Argument-Task essays Subject GRE Exam Pattern:- To know the test pattern in any of the following fields. please visit the following link.https://www.ets.org/ ->Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology ->Biology ->Chemistry ->Literature in English ->Mathematics ->Physics ->Psychology Syllabus:- ->In GRE General test, the questions are based on General English and Mathematics of 7th to 10th standard ->In Subject GRE test, the questions are related to the subjects, in which you are going to write the exam.
