Fund Manager – How to become a fund manager?
Most of the investors now trust Asset Management Companies for the investment. Asset Management companies are responsible for facilitating the investment in mutual funds. The person who implements the investment strategy to manage the funds is known as fund manager. Fund managers also give advice to institutions or people on the matter of investment. They analyze the risk factor related to each investment. It is their duty to specify the investment goals for a year and ensure whether it adds any benefits to the investor.
Qualifying Exam
Those who possess Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or Commerce can become a fund manager in any financial institution. Master of Business Administration in Finance or Post Graduate Diploma in Management (Finance) will be considered as an additional qualification for this job. After obtaining the required educational qualification, one can apply for the job of fund manager available in any financial institution. One has to gain sufficient experience in the concerned field to excel as fund manager.
Who are eligible to apply?
Candidates should pass plus two or its equivalent in the commerce stream to pursue the bachelor’s degree in business administration or commerce. Admission to the concerned bachelor’s degree course will be given on the basis of the marks obtained in the qualifying examination. Some institutions conducts entrance test for the intake of eligible candidates to the concerned course. Those who are interested to pursue Master of Business Administration course or Post Graduate Diploma in Management course should qualify any entrance tests like Common Admission Test (CAT), Management Aptitude Test (MAT) or Xavier Admission Test (XAT). Some institutes conduct their own entrance test for the admission of candidates to the management course.
