Nursing is one of the noblest professions in the world. Everywhere, nurses are considered to be caring individuals that help the sick and empathize towards them. Who is eligible?
There are a large number of institutes in India offering different courses as to build a career in nursing. There are diploma, graduate and postgraduate courses in nursing along with midwifery courses.
Auxiliary Nurse Midwife/ Health Worker course give education to take care of health related issues of the people in rural areas. The eligibility for ANM is 10th. A candidate must have 10+2 with Biology, Physics and Chemistry in order to pursue B.Sc. nursing and General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM). On completion of the course MSc is an option available.
The nurse must have certain personnel attributes like patience, responsibility and dedication to the job and patients. The profession demands alertness of mind, team spirit, diplomacy and kindness towards other beings. A nursing aspirant must be physically fit, as the job requires lot of hard work.
How to prepare for exam and interview?
After completing the basic education, the qualified candidate can write different state or central government exams as per the advertisement seen in newspapers. In most of the private hospitals they will be required to undergo an interview.
