Institute of Advance Studies in Education or IASE is one of the premier institutions for provision of rural education in villages of Rajasthan and was established by government of India. Gandhi Vidya Mandir or GVM, which is a NGO, supported the university in its development. IASE was founded in the year 1950, and was on one of the most difficult terrains on a 1200 acre area of land, that is why it has its own triad of Helipads. It is easily locatable from Delhi and Jaipur airports and Delhi, Jaipur, and Bikaner Railway stations.

GVM supported both non-resident and residents in their education from primary to PhD level. Education in the fields of Life sciences, Ayurveda, Science and Commerce, Ayurveda, IT and Management Engineering, Para medical and veterinary sciences are provided with separate colleges for girls in the university and some Co-ed colleges also. The University also offers distant learning courses in various disciplines of engineering, management, Para medical, Ayurveda and Yoga,

The university conducts a wide spectrum of activities for social welfare, rural welfare, economic development and health. These activities include the wells with motorized pumps in villages, formation of more than 250 self help groups, Upliftment of poor people and eradication of untouchability, free outdoor health care and medical centre for poor people and indoor health care facility with more than 200 beds available etc.

The university also provides hostel facility for its students and various hostels like Rani Laxmi Bai hostel, Red hostel and Bajaj Girls Hostel are present. Apart from this the university has Staff quarters, Central Office, Ram Munch auditorium, guest house, Playgrounds, Bank Buildings etc.

Admissions are made on the basis of Merit or an Entrance Examination conducted by the university. Students are required to score at least 45% marks in the qualifying examination. The students also can avail reservation seats as per the government norms.
