ICSE Class X Mathematics Papers
The Indian Council of Secondary Education is a centralized educational board, but unlike CBSE it is not under the direct control of the government. The curriculum of the reputed board is designed to achieve excellence and this is the reason many schools of the country gets the affiliation from the board.
The Class 10 examination conducted by the board is designed to test the overall knowledge of the candidate. They aim to judge the excellence of the candidate in all spheres.
The ICSE mathematics paper pattern is given below:
The class 10 exams conducted by ICSE consist of two parts- written test and internal assessment and projects. The written exam carries 80 marks and the rest 20 marks are for the internal assessment. The exams are of duration of three hours. This is not the case with Mathematics. The paper is of 3 hours duration and carries full 100 marks.
The ICSE papers are set on an interesting pattern. The paper consists of two parts. section A consists of small questions and is compulsory. Section B consists of questions which require detailed answers. There are many choices in this section. Equal weightage is given to all the portions of the syllabus.
