Structure of IISc Integrated Ph.D in Mathematical Sciences Entrance Exam
The IISC integrated Ph.D Mathematical Sciences Entrance Exam is structured in an objective type multiple choice formats. Candidates have the option to choose the right answer from the provided four alternative answers. No negative markings are given for the wrong answers. The candidates have to finish the examination of 100 questions within a time period of 180 minutes. The questions will be asked mainly from the core mathematical subjects.

Eligibility Criteria
For the admittance to the IISc Integrated Ph.D in Mathematical Sciences programme, the candidates should have completed their M.Sc or an equivalent degree programme in Physical, Chemical or Mathematical Sciences from a recognized University with a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. For the SC/ST candidates, a pass in the degree programme is sufficient to obtain a seat in for the integrated Ph.D Mathematical Science programme.
How to Apply?
The aspirants are advised to login to website http://admissions.iisc.ernet.in/web/Login.aspx in order to apply for the IISC integrated Ph.D Mathematical Sciences Entrance Exam. Candidates can start the online application procedure, once they have registered the Email ID and Password. A DD of Rs. 600/has to be taken before start filling the online application form as the details of the DD has to be entered in the application form. Take a printout of the application form after filling it completely. The printed application form has to be sent to the Deputy Registrar (Academic), Admissions unit, Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore -560 012 on or before the last date. Students can also apply offline by purchasing the admission brochure and the application form from the allotted centers by paying an amount of Rs. 600/- against the application form. The SC/ST candidates need to pay only Rs. 300/-.
How to fill the Form?
The candidates have to read the instructions given in the brochure thoroughly before filling up the application forms. All the mandatory fields should b filled without committing any errors. The name and the date of birth of the candidate should be entered as same as in the original documents. Use the “Preview your Application” button to view the preview of the completed application form. Go through it carefully to check whether you have entered all the details correctly on the appropriate spaces.
