IIT Kanpur - Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur
The Indian Institute of Technology, more famous as IIT, is also located in the beautiful city of Kanpur. This Institute was established in the year 1959 and the institute is currently celebrating its golden jubilee. Campus:
The college is located in the north-west part of the city of Kanpur. The college has a prestige campus with a sprawling area of 4.3 square kilometers or 1,055 acres. The area covers civic amenities that help the candidates to provide ideal situation in the campus.
Seat Reservation:
The seats are distributed according to various conditions. Out of the total seats, 15% of the seats are reserved for scheduled castes candidates and 7.5% of the seats are reserved for schedule tribe. 27% of the seats are reserved for the other backward class candidates. This division of the seats has been recently implemented in the year 2008.
