Admission to the course of Agri Business Management is carried out on basis of the performance in Joint Entrance Test conducted by three apex level institutions under Ministry of Agriculture. Questions will be in objective type. There will be a maximum of 180 questions which should be completed in 2 hours. Questions will be asked from topics such as Knowledge of Agriculture, Proficiency in English and General Awareness. Four year graduation in any of the subjects such as Agriculture, Bioinformatics and Agricultural Engineering is the educational qualification required for this course. Examination fee is Rs.1000/-.

Eligibility Criterion for Joint Entrance Test – Agri Business Management

Four year full time regular bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines is the minimum educational qualification required.

Candidates who have completed graduation from any Agricultural University or any institution recognized by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR)/ UGC are only eligible to apply for this exam.

Exam Pattern of Joint Entrance Test – Agri Business Management

There will be multiple choice objective type questions in this entrance exam. Questions will be asked from the following topics.

  • Knowledge of Agriculture
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • Proficiency in English
  • Logical Ability
  • General Awareness

There will be a maximum of 180 questions. Each question carries one mark. Of these 40 questions will be asked from Knowledge of Agriculture. This section covers questions from subjects such as

  • Agricultural Engineering
  • General Agriculture
  • Fisheries
  • Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Science
  • Food Sciences
  • Forestry
  • Horticulture

Quantitative Aptitude section will have questions from Data Interpretation, Basic Arithmetic and Statistics etc. There will be a maximum of 40 questions. 40 questions will be asked from Logical Ability which comprises questions from extrapolation, reasoning and deduction. Proficiency in English will contain 40 questions from subjects such as paraphrasing, sentence correction, sentence completion, reading comprehension, synonyms and antonyms etc. In addition to this, there will be 20 questions from General Awareness. Most of the questions in this section will be asked from General Knowledge and Current Affairs. There will be special focus on the aspects of agricultural business.

Maximum time allotted for attending all questions is two hours. There will be negative marking for wrong answers. 1/3rd of the total marks allotted for the question will be reduced for each wrong answer.

Application Process

Candidates who wish to apply for this exam are required to apply in prescribed application form. Application form can be obtained by taking a postal order or bank draft of Rs. 100/-. Candidates will have to pay Rs. 1000/- as examination fees. Fully filled in application form along with details of fee payment should be sent to JET-ABM, 2011, Post Bag No.5, P.O. Rajendranagar, Hyderabad-500 030. Candidates can visit the official website of JET-ABM so as to collect the details.
