Established in the year 1995 the Kalyani Government Engineering College is located in Kalyani, in Nadia, in the state of West Bengal. It is ranked at the third position among the engineering colleges of the state. Prof (Dr) D S Mukherjee is the principal of this college.
Courses offered:
The college is affiliated to the West Bengal University of Technology (WBUT). It offers programs such as B. Tech, M. Tech and M.C.A in its curriculum. The Computer Science, Electrical, Electronics and Mechanical engineering departments of the college has got the accreditation of the National Board of Accreditation.

The rank in the entrance exam (WBJEE) and the AIEEE are the admission criteria into this college.
Infrastructure:
The college campus at Kalyani is rambling and greenery is spread everywhere. It is completely sound when it comes to the facilities it provides. Hi-tech computer laboratories, Workshops, most modern well furnished laboratories and the up to date well equipped library is there. There are five hostels inside the campus which are connected via high speed wireless technology facilitating lightning fast internet. The college is completely connected by LAN. The college has an Astronomical Observatory too.

The software biggie of the country TCS in the year 2006 got into collaboration with the Kalyani Government Engineering College for facilitating the proper development of faculty, students and the staff.
