Exam Pattern of the Applied Mathematics Entrance Exams

For graduate level entrance test, the questions are divided into two sections. The first section is based on physics, chemistry and mathematics subjects taught at plus-two level where as the 2nd section concentrates on aptitude skills. The test is meant to measure the analytical, reasoning and language skills of the students. The total number of questions for postgraduate entrance exams is 85. The first twenty questions of the set carry 1 mark only. The rest of the questions carry 2 marks each. Thus, the total marks allotted for this exam is 150. Postgraduate and PHD level entrance test mainly analyses the subject wise knowledge of the candidate.
