Course Outlook:

Master of law in human rights and duties is a 2 year course. The students in the 1st years go through one yearly exam which qualifies them to the next year. Then the final year exam is held in the 2nd year, the ultimate one after which they get their degree.

The 1st year includes the study of fundamentals of human rights law, comparative regional human rights system, law of arm conflict, international criminal law, social and cultural rights, etc.

The 2nd year includes the study of dissertation research and writing, international rights of women, international rights of children, human rights defenders.

After getting the degree the students can work in private firms or even in international companies as lawyers. They can even carry on their research work as a lawyer.

    I did LL.B. (Professional) from Punjabi Univeristy, Patiala and presendtly doing LL.M.(final) from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. I want to do Master of Law in human rights and duties and also want to do Ph.D on this subject. Please guide me whether Master of law in human rights and duties is avaiable in Distence education in any university.
