When it comes to the Indian B-School students we can experience a sea-change from the early practice, in the way they are looking into the employment opportunities. They are not showing any interest in the employers who are offering jobs in the financial service field, which was the most preferred one in the early stages. A reason behind this is the lack of job security even in the MNC companies.
Now they are looking for the emerging sector and the jobs which are most demanding in this world, including the opportunity in the FMCG, Public Relation and Media filed. These jobs are now become the most attracting platform for the MBA/PGDM aspirants. Now it seems like that the Evergreen IT industry also fade in front of these industries. Among these FMCGs are ranking high in the most preferred list followed by the management consultancies, It consultancies, Banking and Retiling sector. The major reason behind this is the high security and the potential growth opportunity of the sector.

One of the major advantages of this sector is that the jobs are identified as effortless, since the service and product line offered by the industry is essential for the daily life of Human beings. It is easier for a Marketing persona in the FMCG sector to sell his product to the target market rather than the IT Marketer. The jobs are also flexible in their sector and it is now considered as one of the highly payable jobs in the economy.

So in each division they need people and this is the opportunity for the management aspirants’. The career planning can widely see in this sector. There is an advanced planning from the junior most position to the general board level. There are many stories that people who leave the industries for the higher studies or some other reasons prefere to come back to the same field for re-start their career.
