National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research is one of the leading institutes in India providing Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET). The institute promotes TVET systems by designing, planning, developing, evaluating and implementing quality training for various technical educational institutes, community and industries. The institute provides Master of Technology course in Human Resource development and Master of Technical Education course.  There are separate entrance exam for both the courses. Master of Technology course is a course approved by All India Council of Technical Education.

Structure of NITTTR M. Tech (HRD) Entrance Exam

The admission for the M.Tech in Human Resource Development is based on two criteria.

The first criterion is the marks obtained in B.E from second year to final year and the second one is the Aptitude test. The two criteria are given different weightage for admission. 60% weightage is given to the marks obtained in the B.E. (II year to Final year) and 40% weightage is given to the Aptitude Test. Aptitude test consists of objective questions. The total number of questions in Aptitude Test is 120. There will be one or two structured questions as well. These questions are to evaluate the entry behavior, aptitude, likely contribution, career goal, etc.

Eligibility Criteria

The applicants should hold a Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree from any university recognized by University of Madras, Chennai. Some seats are reserved for candidates with B.E./B.Tech. and are working as teachers in Engineering Colleges and Polytechnic Colleges in Southern Region. These candidates are sponsored by their Directorate of Technical Education.

How to Apply?

The application form for the NITTTR M. Tech (HRD) Entrance Exam can be downloaded from the official web site http://www.nitttrc.ac.in. The completed application form is to be sent to the Director, National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research, Taramani, Chennai – 600 113 on or before the last date of submission. The candidate should send a DD of Rs 500/- along with the completed form.

How to fill the Form?

The candidate should take utmost care for filling the application form. The name of the candidate should be entered in capital letters. Candidate should enter the Applicant’s Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name and Date of Birth as provided in the certificate of the qualifying exam. The candidate should fill the form personally without any mistakes. The applicant should affix their recent passport sized photo in the application form. The candidate should take all care while entering the address of communication. All further contact from the institution will be in this address. The candidate should enter the amount, draft number, bank details very carefully along with the form.

The candidate should enclose all the attested copies and certificate along with the application form. The certificate to be enclosed are SSLC, +2, B.E./B.Tech./AMIE/ or Equivalent, transfer certificate, provisional pass certificate or, degree, mark sheet, conduct certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied, social status in case of SC / ST and certificate from the designated medical authorities for the physically challenged persons.
