Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University was founded in the year 1973 under Government of India. The university started functioning under Uttar Pradesh State Act. There are over 180 affiliated colleges under this university. The university is mainly famous for providing higher education to students. The university is also considered as one of the ten largest universities present in India. The major objective of the university is to provide a wide array of subjects to the students inlcuding subjects based on Tourism, Military Science, History and Archeology.

Job Profile:

Applications on the prescribed performa are invited from well qualified candidates for the faculty position of Professor in different departments of the university. The vacant posts are available in the Department of School of Agriculture and Allied Science, School of Arts, Communication and Languages, School of Commerce, School of Earth Science, School of Education, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Life Sciences and School of Sciences.

Eligibility:

Candidates are required to be within the prescribed age limit set for the post of Professor in Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University. Candidates having age less than the minimum age limit and more than maximum age limit, should not apply for the specified post as their applications will be summarily rejected by the university.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should be an eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned or relevant discipline. A minimum of 10 years of experience in teaching in university and experience of research at the university is also required to be possess by the candidates applying for the post of Professor in Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University.

Pay Scale: Candidates will be provided their monthly salary under Payband-4 i.e. Rs. 39100-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

Application Fee:

Candidates should submit the prescribed amount of application fee in the form of a Demand Draft only. The amount of application fee for General and OBC category candidates is Rs. 300 while only Rs. 100 is to be paid by the SC/ST/PH category candidates. The Demand Draft must be drawn in favour of Finance Officer, Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University, Srinagar Garhwal. Seperate application fee is required to be paid for each post in case candidates is applying for more than one post.

Selection Process:

Interested candidates will have to undergo a personal interview test with the selection committee for getting selected on the respetive post. Candidates are required to face this interview test as the final selections will be made only on the basis of the result of this interview test.
