Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University was initially known as Garhwal University. The university was established in the year 1973 under the provisions of UP State Universities Act. The university actually got its present name in the year 1989 only. The university also received the status of central university through an ordinance in the same year. The university is known to be one of the largest universities present in the country. The university has three campuses and a number of affiliated colleges to it. The university is meant to provide education to seven districts in the state of Uttarakhand.

Job Profile:

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the faculty position of Assistant Professor in different departments of the university. The vacant posts are available in the School of Agriculture and Allied Science, School of Arts, Communication and Languages, School of Commerce, School of Earth Science, School of Education, School of Engineering and Technology, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, School of Life Sciences, School of Management and School of Sciences.

Eligibility:

Interested candidates must be within the prescribed age limit set for the post of Assistant Professor in Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University. Candidates having age less than the minimum age limit and more than maximum age limit, are not eligible to apply for this post. Uneligible candidates should not apply for the respective post.

Educational Qualification:

Master’s degree in the relevant subject or discipline from an Indian University with atleast 55% marks in aggregate is required as the minimum educational qualification for applying on the post of Assistant Professor in Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University. Pay Scale: Candidates will be given the monthly salary of Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

A Demand Draft of prescribed amount of application fee is need to be sent in accordance with the application form. The application fee that is need to be paid by General and OBC category candidates is Rs. 300. Reserved category candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 100 only. Selection Process:

A personal interview test is the only selection criteria set for the respective post in Hemvati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University.
