Lakshmibai National University of Physical Education was established as National College of Physical Education by Government of India. The university came into existence on August 17, 1957. The institute was named after Rani Laxshmibai of Jhansi. The university offers both bachelor’s degree as wel as master’s degree courses to its students. Initially, the institute was started as an affiliated college of the Vikram University but later it was conferred the status of an Autonomous College of Jiwaji University, Gwalior. The institute gots the status of being an autonomous college of Jiwaji University in the year 1982.

1. Recruitment of Professor-Director:

Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Physical Education with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates must have done Ph.D. in Physical Education.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 10000.

2. Recruitment of Associate Professor:
No. of posts: Only 5 posts are available.
Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Physical Education with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates must have done Ph.D. in Physical Education.

3. Recruitment of Assistant Professor:

Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 35 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree in Physical Education with atleast 55% marks in aggregate. Candidates must have done Ph.D. in Physical Education or should have cleared NET counducted by the UGC.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 6000.

4. Recruitment of Deputy Registrar:

Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 45 years.
Educational Qualification: Master’s degree with atleast 55% marks in aggregate or equivalent. Candidates must have experience of 9 years as Assistant Professor.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.

5. Recruitment of Yoga Instructor (Female):

Age Limit: Maximum age limit is 32 years.
Educational Qualification: Graduate degree from a recognized university with Diploma in Yoga and three years practical experience in conducting Yoga classes.
Pay Scale: Rs. 9300-34800 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 4200.
