Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Aquaculture (RGCA) is the Research & Development (R&D) sector of the Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA). Marine Products Export Development Authority (MPEDA) was established in 1972 under the Marine Products Export Development Authority Act 1972.

The MPEDA works under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India. It acts as a coordinating agency with different government organizations engaged in the fishery production and related activities belonging to both state and Central governments.

Job Profile:

Rajiv Gandhi Centre for aquaculture (RGCA) invites application from eligible candidates for the posts of Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Library Assistant and Accountant on deputation/ contract basis.

No. of posts: Project Manager - 1, Assistant Project Manager - 6, Assistant Project Manager (Works) – 3, Library Assistant – 2, Accountant - 6

Pay Scale – Consolidated pay of Rs. 26400 (Rs. 15600 - 39100 + GP of Rs. 6600 in case of deputation) for Project Manager, Rs. 16800 (Rs. 15600 - 39100 + GP of Rs. 5400 in case of deputation) for Assistant Project Manager, Rs. 12000 for Library Assistant, and Rs. 9600 for Accountant.

Eligibility:

Age Criteria – The maximum age limit is 50 years for Project Manager, 40 years for Assistant Project Manager, and 28 years for Library Assistant and Accountant. The upper age limit is relaxable for SC/ ST/ OBC candidates.

Educational Qualification and experience – The candidates must have specific educational qualification and post qualification experience as given in the MPEDA website link http://mpedaweb.nic.in/job/ADVTrgca.pdf.

Selection Process:

The selection for the post is through walk-in interview. A short test will be conducted to test the computer proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and internet usage, during the interview.
