What ever may be the aspirations or dreams of an individual, one may be totally confused when it comes to choosing a particular career option. The decision at such a point of time proves to be crucial or it will be a turning point in every ones life. The very changing nature of life may highly depend on the decision one may take at one point of time.

The growth aspect in particular may be depending on the career that we are having. The amount of success one may be facing will decide our career in a long term basis.

10th standard is a stage which may determine the entire career prospects, the decision that one may take on such level may transform the entire direction of the life as such. Hence there comes the importance of Career planning.

Deciding over a Career path

When we take the students, many times the most significant decisions regarding the career are not taken by themselves. On the other hand, the decision mainly lies in the hands of the parents who are the decision makers. There may be situations where in the students are forced to take a decision because of the pressure that they are getting from their family members. Many may take a career because of the fact that many of their family members are involved in that particular profession for years.

Another situation being where in a course is adopted as a result of the popularity that it gains in the society. Every candidate should adopt or focus in a particular career provided he /she will be having sufficient interest in that field.  Many students are in a situation where they do not have any idea regarding which career path that they may be    choosing. Sometimes due to immense pressure one may take in a career which may have immense monetary benefits , with out knowing that they may not be able to bring out their potential in that field resulting in job dissatisfaction. Hence it is advisable to research well before choosing a career path in any areas.

Plan your career well

This step ensures that one should decide from the various available options and choose among the best from it. Identify your true interests and hobbies. The most significant step being identifying ones strengths. Regarding the interest, one may be interested in multiple fields. But most importantly, we should evaluate whether w e have that skill to  pursue that as a career. The person must be confident enough in that field that they will succeed whether that can be taken as a career option. The students must identify the very values on which they may more depend on. This is very important while adopting the career path.

Apart from all these, career counselors or advisors role also prove to be predominant where in professional advices can be given on certain career. At times, the candidate need not be successful in a particular career even if they have adequate interest or skills in that field. A well laid down strategy should be prepared to bring in more advantages.

Career Choice after 10th

This is a major decision time. After the completion of the matriculation level almost every students are perplexed on which stream to choose and how to go about it? Because a wrong decision at this point of time may sometimes ruin he entire career path.

The further career path may be taken according to the student interest only. It is equally important to work hard during the 10th class because the future prospects may fully depend on this. If the situation gets out of hand, it can never be compensated. So why create a situation where in you cannot opt in for your favorite stream because of the lower percentage of marks in 10th class. Hence it is equally important for the students to plan accordingly.

Why take the decisions regarding a particular career in a hurry? The decisions regarding the career options should be taken only after much thinking. This system may apply for both the students as well as the parents. It is the parent’s responsibility not to force the students for undertaking any particular. They should enquire and should know which option their child is interested in and provide facilities for the children to opt that course.

The usual scenario being that the students opt in for engineering or medical courses after 10th class. For this they need to have adequate interest in this field. The students should be well aware about the various other courses that are available apart from medical or engineering. The student community should get out of that box of medical or engineering mania and go in for courses which also bring in greater opportunities in terms of career.

The career options that are prevailing in the education sector are also diverse. Hence the student community by and large should explore all the possibilities apart from sticking to only one or two options.  Proper support and guidance should be available from the side of both the parents as well as teachers in helping the students choose the best among the lot.

This is a stage when the students also may be not be having a specified or expected level of maturity for making bold decisions. Hence they must be supported by and large which help them to build a proper career. Also at this point of time the help of the career counselors can also be adopted to help them to take crucial decisions.

People should clearly know themselves .What they are good at? Self assessment is also a predominant factor. Hence choosing a career is important, but one must always keep in mind that one may never ever stay only in the same career path? Hence up gradation of the skills is important to keep one self updated about the general things or changes that are happening all over.
