The Madras Service Commission was formed in 1929 under Madras Legislature Act, 1929. When the State name was changed into Tamilnadu, the Madras Service Commission became Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC). The Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission Rules and its Regulation Act 1954, regulates the Commission.

Job Profile:

Tamilnadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Revenue Assistant in Revenue Department.

No. of posts: 1884

Pay Scale – Rs. 5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs. 2400

Eligibility:

Age criteria – The minimum age limit is 18 yrs and the maximum age limit is 30 yrs.

Educational Qualification – The candidates should have B.A/ B.Sc/ B.Com degree from the University Grants commission recognized university or institution. Even candidates with Bachelor of Literature from Bharathiar University/Madras University/Bachelor of Business Administration from Madurai Kamarajar University/B.O.L from Annamalai University can apply. Selection Process:

How to apply:

OMR applications can be obtained from head post offices/sub-post offices in Alagapuram/Tamil Nadu/Sivaganga/Puducherry for Rs. 30 or it can also be obtained from the sales counter of the office of the TNPSC, No.1, Greams Road, Commerical Tax Annexe Building, Chennai -600006. Candidate scan also apply online through the website http://tnpsc.gov.in.

Completely filled application must be sent to the following address along with postal receipt of fees and required documents:

Application fees:

The candidates must pay Rs. 100 to one of the Post Offices listed in the website. In case of applying online, Rs. 130 must be paid.
