Scientist ‘E’, Scientist ‘D’, Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology
Profile:
Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology was established as a special fund project on November 17, 1962. The institute was established by United Nations Development Programme as a part of the India Metereological Department. The institute was provided an autonomous status by the Government of India and also a new name Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology (earlier it was named Institute of Tropical Meteorology). This scientific institute is mainly responsible for the expansion of research in mtereology of the tropics. The functions of the institutes are controlled by Ministry of Earth Sciences, Government of India.
Job Profile:
Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology invites applications from the Indian Citizens for the following posts of Scientist ‘E’, Scientist ‘D’ and Scientist ‘C’:
1. Recruitment of Scientist ‘E’:
Posts Available: Only 2 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be within the prescribed age limit.
Pay Scale: Rs. 37400-67000 + Grade Pay of Rs. 8700.
2. Recruitment of Scientist ‘D’:
Posts Available: Only 4 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be within the prescribed age limit.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 7600.
3. Recruitment of Scientist ‘C’:
Posts Available: Only 4 posts are available.
Age Limit: Candidates should be within the prescribed age limit.
Pay Scale: Rs. 15600-39100 + Grade Pay of Rs. 6600.
Age Limit:
Candidates must not have age more than the prescribed maximum age limit set for all these posts. Age relaxation will be provided to the reserved category candidates according to the government rules.
Selection Process:
Only a Walk-In-Interview on the specified date is need to be faced by the interested as well as eligible candidates. No other test or examination is to be faced by the candidates other than this Walk-In-Interview. But candidates should perform well in this interview if they want to get selected on the specified post in Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology.
