Profile:

National Metallurgical Laboratory came into existence in the year 1956 under the Government of India. The major objective or function of the laboratory is to carry out the R&D work in the extraction of metals. developments of ceramics, corrosion and protection etc. One of the another major objective of the laboratory is to develop and provide services like R&D, technology transfer etc. for the scientific and industrial growth.

Job Profile:

Several posts of Scientist Grade-IV are available in various divisions of the National Metallurgical Laboratory. Candidates can apply for the specified posts depending on their qualification and experience.

Eligibility:

Candidate should not be more than the prescribed age limit set for the post i.e. 35 years.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates are required to attain atleast a post graduation degree from any recognized university. Candidates should have a good academic record throughout, however no preference will be given to more qualified candidates.

No. of posts: Only 12 posts are availbale in total.

Pay Scale: Candidates will get the salary of Rs. 15600-39100 per month with a Grade Pay of 6600.

Application Fee:

The Demand Draft should be made up of the amount Rs. 100. No DD should be made by the reserved category candidates. The DD must be made in the favour of Director, National Metallurgical Laboratory, Jamshedpur - 831007 payable at State Bank of India, NML Branch, Kamshedpur.

Selection Process:

A Selection Committee organized by the responsible authority of National Metallurgical Laboratory will decide about the final selection of the eligible candidates.
