Employees’ Provident Fund Organizations has called for applications from eligible candidates for the position of Social Security Assistant and here are the details regarding the notification issued by the organization in this respect:

Name of the Vacancy: Social Security Assistant

Number of Vacancies: Total number of vacancy is 1943, which includes general vacancy of 1867 and sports quota vacancy of 76.

Pay Scale: Candidates appointed for the position of Social Security Assistant will be coming under the pay band 1 with Rs.5200-20200 plus GP of Rs.2400 as pay scale.

Eligibility requirements:

Education: Candidates must be degree holders form a recognized university as on the closing date of application. They should also possess a minimum speed of 5000 key depression per hour for Data Entry work. Desirable qualification for the position is a computer training certificate from a recognized institution.

Age: Age requirement as on the 9th of March 2012 is 18 to 27 years of age. For SC/ST candidates, upper age is relaxable by five years, by three years for OBC Candidates and upper age limit is 40 years, 43 years and 45 years respectively for general, OBC and SC/ST categories of government employees.

Selection Procedure:

Selection will be based on two stage selection process, which includes written test and skill test. Written test is for assessing the reasoning, English language, numerical ability and office aptitude of candidates, while skill test is for testing the data entry skill of candidates. Date of written test would be 15th of April 2012.

Application Fee:

Fee to be paid by all candidates except SC/ST/PH/EXS candidates is Rs.315, while these candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs.90. Fee should be paid to the nearest SBI bank through the fee payment challan that can be downloaded from the website of the organization at www.epfindia.com or www.epfindia.gov.in. After payment of fee, candidates will have to get the applicants copy and EPFO copy of challan with details of bank and this challan should be submitted by the candidates at the time of written test.

Candidates meeting the eligibility requirements will have to apply online through the website of EPFO given earlier, from the 14th of February to 9th of March 2012.
