Paper Pattern:

The paper of C++ and Object Oriented Programming is a technical paper for the MCA 1st year students. Questions asked are divided into 2 sections equally. There are 14 questions in the paper and each question in each section is of equal marks. Section A is of 7 short answer questions and 4 from it are to be attempted whereas Section B is of 7 long answer type and 4 from it are to be attempted. Questions are repeated from the previous year’s question paper and candidates are advised to practise them properly.

The paper contains questions such as exception handling facility provided in C++, file handling techniques used in C++, a program in C++ to sort an array of integers, a program in C++ that implements a stack using abstract data types, various forms of Inheritance, function templates and class templates, virtual base class with a suitable example etc. Section A contains only theoretical questions whereas Section B is of programming.

Total marks and time allotted:

A maximum marks is 60 in this paper to get for a student and time duration of the paper is 3 hours only. Section A is of 4 questions of 5 marks and Section B is of 4 questions of 10 marks.
