Ministry of Power was established under the Government of India. The ministry mainly aims to oversees the rural electrification projects. The ministry initially started off a department of power but it actually became a ministry in the year 1992. Mr. Sushilkumar Shinde is the present Minister of Power. The minister of power holds cabinet rank as a member of Council of ministers. Overseeing electricity production, generation and transmission of electricity is the major function of the ministry. The Ministry of Power came into existence as a single unit after the Ministry of Power, Coal and Non Conventional Energy Sources was splitted into three different ministeries.
Job Profile:
Ministry of Power (Patna) invites applications from eligible Indian Citizens for filling up the vacant posts of Technical Operator under the discipline of Drilling. Only those canddiates, who fulfills all the eligibility conditions set for the position, are eligible to apply in Ministry of Power (Patna). Candidates will be receuited on deputation basis for a period of two years only. The deputation period may get extended further depending on the requirement of the ministry. Also, selected candidates can be posted anwhere in India.
Eligibility:
Candidates must have age more than the prescribed minimum age limit i.e. 18 years but not more than the prescribed maximum age limit i.e. 27 years as on closing date for the reciept of application. Those candiates, who fails to fullfill this age criteria, are advised to not to apply for the post of Technical Operator in Ministry of Power (Patna). Relaxation in the upper age limit may be provided to the candidates falling under the reserved categories.
Educational Qualification:
Interested candidates are required to possess the minimum educational qualification set for the post of Technical Operator (Drilling) in Ministry of Power (Patna). The minimum educational qualification required for the post is Matriculation or equivalent from a recognized board. Certificate in Motor Mechanic or Welding from Industrial Training Institute is deisrable for the specified post of Technical Operator. Candidates possessing qualification less than the prescribed one, will be considered uneligible for applying and their application will not be considered by the ministry under any circumstances.
No. of posts: Total 10 posts are available.
Pay Scale: Selected candidates will be given the prescribed amount of salary i.e. Rs. 5200-20200 with a Grade Pay of Rs. 1800.
Selection Process:
A Personal Interview Test will be conducted by the concerned authority of Ministry of Power (Patna) for making selection of best suitable candidates. A selection committee will take a the interview test. Candidates are advised to prepare well for the interview test as only their good performance in the interview test can ensure their selection for the post of Technical Operator.
How to apply: Completely filled in application form in the prescribed format must be sent in accordance with the other required certificates or testimonials in an envelope only. The envelope should be superscribed with the name of the post applied for. The envelope should reach to the following address on or before the last date for the reciept of application.
