University of Allahabad is a premier Central University located in the state of Allahabad. The institute offers various diplomas, post graduate diploma, certificate, under graduate and post graduate courses in different fields of study. The admission of candidates to its post graduate programmes will be on the basis of the score obtained in the post graduate admission test (PGAT) conducted by the University.

Structure of University of Allahabad PGAT M.A. in Economics Entrance Exam

The question paper shall consist of Short Answer Type questions and Medium Answer Type Questions. The Short Answer Type questions have to be answered in about 50 words each and the Medium Answer Type Questions in about 150 words each. The test will be of 90 minutes duration.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have passed the three year degree or honors course in B.A Economics or allied subjects from University of Allahabad or any other University / Institution recognized by the UGC are eligible to appear for the M.A Economics Entrance Exam conducted by University of Allahabad.

How to Apply?

Candidates can submit online form for the PGAT MA Economics Entrance Exam. For online registration, the candidates are required to download the Challan form and fill it up correctly by mentioning all the details required. The completed challan along with the application fee of Rs. 600/- (Rs. 300/- in case of backward category candidates) have to be paid in any concerned branches of State Bank of India. A unique 9 digit receipt number on acceptance of the fee will be given by the bank and the candidate needs to enter this number on the online form.

How to fill the Form?

The website provides all the information required for online form submission. Candidates are advised to go through it before filling. All the columns have to be filled with exact details. If the receipt number of the fees paid entered in the application form does not match with the details that the bank provided, then the admit card will not be issued and application will be cancelled.
