UPSC Mains Dogri (Paper II) Papers
Union Public Service commission conducts exam every year for the recruitment of the candidates for the different post of the civil servants. The examination is conducted nationwide and the candidates can choose from a number of subjects. One of the options available is the Dogri language. The paper is basically an opportunity to know the though process of the candidates and his ability to handle things meticulously.
Importance of the paper
The paper is tough as the jobs at stake are the highly lucrative as they ensure a great deal of power. The second paper in essence handles the knowledge of the candidates of the various texts written in the language so far.
Format
The Dogri Paper II paper is a conventional paper in which candidates are required to answer long answers for the questions.
Paper pattern
The paper has been divided into two sections with each section having 4 long answer type questions. Candidates are instructed to answer question 1 from first section and question 5 from second section and apart from that they have to answer 3 more questions by taking atleast 1 question from both sections.
Marking
The paper contains 8 questions each of which carries 60 marks. the candidates are required to answer a total of 5 questions making the total marks allotted for this paper to be 300.
Time allotted
Like any other UPSC exams the candidates wont be getting more than 3 hours to write their paper.
Dogri Paper II is all about the Dogri language and the various texts written in this language. Candidates who are opting for this paper must have a good knowledge of this paper as questions asked are about various poets and their works and questions related to them.
