WBUT is the acronym of West Bengal University of Technology. This is a university which offers courses in various technological fields. The university offers BCA and during the 1st semester of the course, students of BCA have to study Business system and application. At the end of the semester, they have to appear for its exam.

About the subject and pattern of paper

The paper consists of three sections namely groups A, B and C. The paper consists of both objective and descriptive questions. Group A consists of objective questions. All the questions in this section have to be answered by the candidates. There are 10 multiple choice questions. To each question, four choices are given. The candidate has to choose the option that is most appropriate and have to answer accordingly. Only one of the options is correct. There are no negative marks for answering the questions in this section wrongly.

Group B consists of short answer type questions. There are five questions in this section. Out of the five questions, three have to be answered by the candidates. The questions in this section may contain sub questions. Group C consists of long answer type questions. There are five questions in this section. Out of the five, three have to be answered by the candidates. All the questions in this section consist of four sub questions.

Distribution of marks and duration of paper

The maximum mark of the paper is 70. Group A is for 10 marks. Group B is for 15 marks and group C is for 45 marks. The duration of the paper is three hours and he candidates have to answer the paper in the allotted time. Before the start of the exam, the candidates will be allotted 15 minutes for reading the question paper and for clearing any doubts associated with the same.
