Bakaro District is one among the total 24 districts in the state of Jharkhand in India. The district came into existence in the year 1991 by dividing Giridih and Dhanbad districts. The headquarters of the district is the Bakaro Steel City and the district has a population of more than 17 lakh people. Teacher-education colleges:

Primary Teacher Education College, Pindrajora is approved by the Jharkhand Academic Council and the National Council for Technical Education. The college offers Elementary Teacher Training Course shortly called as ETTC course with an intake capacity of 50 students per year.

Bokaro Steel City College came into existence in the year 1970 and the college is operating as a constituent unit of the Vinoba Bhave University. The college offers Bachelor of Education course with an approved intake capacity of 100 students per year.

Arts, Science & Commerce College:

Government Women’s College is called as Bokaro Mahila College and the college came into existence in the year 1976. The college is approved by the University Grants Commission and the college offers courses in the faculties of arts, science and commerce with affiliation from the Vinoba Bhave University.

Polytechnic College:
