National Physical Laboratory of India was established on january 4, 1947 under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research. The headquarters of the laboratory is located at New Delhi. Dr. Vikram Kumar is the Director of the national Physical Laboratory. The major objective of the laboratory is to maintain the SI units in the country. National Physical Laboratory is one of the earliest national laboratories set up under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research.

Job Profile:

Candidates can apply for the posts of Research Associate and Project Assistant in National Physical Laboratory on contract basis.

Eligibility:

Candidates should be between the age limit set for the posts of Project Assistant and Research Associate.

Educational Qualification:

Candidates should have attained a degree from any recognized institute or university for applying for the posts of Project Assistant and Research Associate.

Pay Scale:

Research Associate: Consolidated salary of Rs. 16000 per month
Project Assistant: Consolidated salary of Rs. 12000 per month

Selection procedure:

The final selection for the above specified posts of Project Assistant and Research Associate will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the walk in interview that will be held on 14 May 2010 from 8 AM to 9:30 AM.
