Entrepreneurship Development Institute conducts an admission process for admission to its 2 year Post Graduation Programme in Management: PGDM (Business Entrepreneurship). EDI was established in 1983 as an autonomous institute for management education and since then has been conducting several courses in management. EDI has a very good infrastructure and facilities. It has been approved by AICTE.
The main aim of the Institute is to develop a spirit of risk undertaking and sharpen the quality of entrepreneurship within the individual candidate.

The Institute undertakes especial classes to provide for the same and offers great teaching staff which assists for the following. The Institute also enables great infrastructural facilities as well as excellent campus which allows for great ambiance. The Institute have several tie ups with international as well as nationally based Institute and University to provide great training programs to the candidates as well as offer a great deal of practical exposure to the individual candidates.

Eligibility criteria:

A candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent from a recognized institute with atleast 50% aggregate.  Candidates who belong to the reservation categories as well as those who come from defense background are eligible to undertake relaxation in the above eligibility criterion by five percentages. Those candidates who are in their final year of graduations can also apply for the provisional based admission.

However these candidates have to provide the original Certificate of Merit to the concerned authority of the Institute as before the stipulated date. Failure to do follow the instructions may result in cancellation of the seat of that respective candidate. Diploma Holders can apply for the above course but the exact eligibility criterion can be tendered from the official website of the Institute itself.

Selection process:

The Institute shortlist the candidates on the basis of their MAT/CAT/XAT scores and are then called for a further selection process which consists of Group Discussions and Personal Interviews.  Final selection is only based on the candidate’s performance within written test, Group Discussion, , Personal Interview, extracurricular activities , Work experience and Graduation marks,.
