The eligibility criteria for IFS is as under:

Your age should be between 21-30yrs.
You must have a bachelor's degree in science.

So you can appear for the exam after you complete your bsc.

IFS is the acronym for both

Indian Foreign Services

and

Indian Forest Services

for Indian Foreign Services you no need to tension it is under CSE(Civil Service Examination)

but whereas Indian Forest Services it is completely different from CSE it is conducted separately by UPSC

its schedule will be also different

but the eligibility criteria is similar like all other exams

I think you're aware of Eligibility criteria for CSE

anyways i will once again confirm you the eligibility criteria for CSE

->you should have age in between 21 and 30

->you should have any degree from a recognized Indian University

So conclusion is you're eligible and you can appear for the exam if you are having the respective eligibility criteria

best wishes

dear sir ,

you must have to complete your bsc course .

after the completion of the graduation , you will become eligible for the IFS ( Indian forest services ) exam.

in the IFS exam there are three important papers

1) general English
2) general knowledge
3) optional subjects

in the paper optional subject you can choose such subject of your interest means you can choose such subject about which you have more information.

as you are doing the bsc in botany then it is better that you choose botany as your optional subject.
there will be the two papers of botany will be held for the optional subject in the IFS exam.

for more information about the IFS exam and last year papers of the IFS exam kindly visit the website www.upsc.gov.in

thanks
