The degree “Bachelor in Technology” offered by PTU is one of the prestigious ones across the country. The university offers a B. Tech in Civil Engineering, which is one of the most sought after branches. In the fifth semester of the course there is a paper on Design of Steel Structures (paper code: CE-303).

Duration and Maximum Marks:

As other conventional exams the duration of the test is 3 hours, but the maximum marks are 60.

Divisions of the Paper

The paper is divided into three sections, of which the first one is compulsory. Further details are given in the following.

How the Paper looks like?

In Section A there are 10 objective questions, which are all compulsory. Each question carries 2 marks. Thus this section is of 20 marks. In Section B there are five questions out of which four are to be attempted. Each question carries 5 marks. Section C consists of long answer type questions. There are three questions in this section and students have to attempt 2. Each of the questions is of 10 marks. Students can also expect short notes in this section. Two short notes are required to be written, each carrying 5 marks.
