Medical College:

Rajendra Institute of Medical Science is the only government-run medical college in the city of Ranchi and it came into existence in the year 1960. Government of India is planning to convert this institution as regional All India Institute of Medical Sciences along with seven other regional AIIMSs in India. This institute of offering MBBS, BDS and B. Sc Nursing courses at the UG level and several other courses under allied-medical streams like physiotherapy. Admission to this college is done based on the performance of the students in the Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination.

Pharmacy College:

Government Pharmacy Institute in Ranchi is sponsored by the department of health, medical education and family welfare and the institute is approved by the Pharmacy Council of India and All India Council of Technical Education to offer diploma course in pharmacy.

Engineering & Technology College:

The National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology was established in the year 1966 by the Government of India with the objective of development of technology in the fields of forge, foundry and related technologies and to offer technological guidance in related fields.
