How to fill NALSAR Law Entrance Forms?

The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR) University conduct the NALSAR Law Entrance Exam for admission of eligible aspirants into the graduate and postgraduate programs in law offered at the institution.

The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is held for the purpose of admission of students. The CLAT exam is performed by the illustrious West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences, Kolkata (WBNUJS).

The Common Law Admission Test is also carried out for the admittance of students into the graduate and PG level programs offered at 11 National Law Universities. Those include:

  • GNLU - Gujarat National Law University
  • HNLU - Hidayatullah National Law University
  • NALSAR - National Academy of Legal Studies and Research
  • NLIU - National Law Institute University
  • NLSIU - National Law School of India University
  • RGNUL - Rajiv Gandhi National University of Law
  • RMLNLU - Ram Manohar Lohiya Law University
  • WBNUJS - West Bengal National University of Juridical Sciences

Instructions to be followed for filling in form

There are a few things students need to be sure of when they are filling in their forms. They are:

  • Aspirants need to select their exam centre as well as language preferred beforehand. This is then to be noted in the column indicated in the admission form.
  • Aspirants ought to make sure they have filled in all pertinent details. Forms that are incomplete or have any sort of damage on it will not be considered.

All relevant documents are to be attached with the form before it is sent. The form is to be sent prior to the last date announced in the notification.

Exemptions to be taken care while filling in form

These are a few exemptions that are available for candidates.

  • The application fee for students of the General and OBC categories is Rs 2500/- whilst the fee for others is Rs 2000/-.
  • A relaxation of 5 percentages is available for students of the SC/ST/OBC categories. Those students who are physically handicapped are also given this relaxation.
  • Age relaxation of 2 years is provided to students of the SC/ST categories. This can also be availed by students with Disability.

Last date for receipt of applications

The final date for the submission of the filled in CLAT application form is on the 2nd week of April.

Acknowledgement of exam application form

When aspirants submit their admission forms, they will get the Acknowledgement Card within 30 days. Those individuals who do not get this card within the stipulated time can contact the NALSAR University for details regarding the same. Those students who are delivering the admission form directly to the university counter will get their acknowledgment card on the spot. In case any of the admission form is rejected by the university, students will be notified about it in time.
