Chankya National Law University admits candidates for its BA LLB Program on the basis of their CLAT scores. Candidates can apply for Chanakya National Law University while appearing for CLAT counselling. A large number of students apply for admission to CNLU. There are a total of 80 seats in BA LLB course of CNLU of which 60 are filled through CLAT.

Chankya National Law University is located in Patna in state of Bihar. It is a considered to be among the reputed institutions for Law education in the country. It provides its students with good facilities and infrastructure and also has a well qualified and experienced faculty.

The University has made an outstanding figure when it concerns to the department of Law. The teaching staffs are known for its innovative style of teaching along with high standard of knowledge implementation within the candidates by exposing them to different practical cases.

Eligibility Criteria:

A candidate should have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with atleast 50% aggregate marks (45% for reserved categories). Those who are appearing for class 12th exams in 2011 can also apply.
Also a candidate should be under 20 years (22 years for reserved categories) before 1st July, 2011. There will be a reservation of seats observed within the total number of seats.

Out of the total, 16% of the seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, 1% of the seats will be reserved for candidates belonging to Schedule Tribe, 3% of the seats will be reserved for candidates that are women and belong to backward classes, 3% of the seats will be reserved for candidates that are physically or visually handicapped and lastly, 30% of the seats will be reserved for candidates that are women and range within the selected reserved quota.

Availability of Application forms:

Since the admission to CNLU is through CLAT candidates need to apply for CLAT. Candidates can get the form of CLAT through designated branches of Indian Bank, State bank of India and all National Law Schools. Candidates can also download the form through the website www.clat.ac.in.

The candidates that are interested in earning their application from through post have to send a Demand Draft, along with a requisite letter filled with different important documents as well as mentioned of registration number at the top of the letter itself. The candidates are also advised to provide a specimen of their signature at the back side of the Demand Draft.
