CLAT Exam Pattern
CLAT is a national level entrance exam which is carried out in order to select candidates for the 2 year LLM program. CLAT is a very important entrance exam taken by candidates from all over the country. This admission test is carried out mainly for the admission to UG courses in 11 National Universities and also for PG programs for 9 top law colleges in the country.
Structure and Syllabus for CLAT Exam
The CLAT entrance exam will have a total of 200 questions having 1 mark for each of the questions. The subjects covered in the CLAT entrance exam includes English Comprehension which will be of 40 Marks in total. The exam will also have General Knowledge and Current Affairs question which will be for 50 Marks. The CLAT entrance exam will also cover numerical ability which is basically elementary mathematics for 20 marks. The entrance exam will also test student’s logical reasoning abilities and this will be for 45 marks. Previously the CLAT entrance exam had Legal GK but this has recently been eliminated.
Question Pattern of CLAT Exam
The CLAT LLM entrance exam is an objective type written exam. The exam will be held for 2 hours. There will be objective type questions for 50 marks and 10 short questions for 50 marks. Along with this there will be 2 essay type questions which will also be for 50 marks each.
Preparing for CLAT Exam
As CLAT exam is for Masters Program, the level of toughness will be high. There for it is really important for students to put in all the effort possible as to crack the exam. There are many reference books available in the market which students can purchase and prepare with it. Another efficient method is to arrange sample papers and practice with this. This will help to know better about the pattern and the syllabus of the exam. Students can also start to read good newspaper in order to improve the vocabulary. Try to put in 3 to 4 hours of practice every day and get a thorough understanding of the subjects in the CLAT entrance exam.
