National Fertilizers Limited, shortly called as NFL came into existence in the year 1974 on the 23rd of August with two manufacturing units each at Panipet and Bathinda. Now, it is a Mini Ratna and Schedule A company and is the second largest producer of Nitrogenous fertilizers in the country.

Name of the positions: Graduate Apprentice, Technician Apprentice, Trade Apprentice

Number of Vacancies: Total number of Vacancies is 31, which is divided as follows:

• Graduate Apprentice – 08 (UR – 7, ST – 1)

• Technician Apprentice – 11 (UR – 11, ST – 1)

o Chemical – 05 (UR – 4, ST – 1)

o Mechanical – 02 (UR)

o Electronics – 02 (UR)

o Instrumentation – 02 (UR)

o Civil – 01 (UR)

• Technician Apprentice (Vocational) – 2 (UR)

• Trade Apprentice – 06 (UR – 05, ST – 1)

o Instrumentation Mechanic – 05 (UR – 04, ST – 01)

o Electrician – 01 (UR)

• Trade Apprentice (Attendant Optr-chemical Plant) – 04 (UR – 3, ST – 01)

Duration of Training: Duration of Training is one year for Graduate Apprentice and Technician Apprentice positions. As far as, trade apprentice position is concerned, duration of training might be one year or two years based on the ITI instrument mechanic course and ITI Attendant Operator Chemical Plant course taken up by the candidates.

Stipend: For Graduate Apprentice course, stipend is Rs.2600 pm, for Technician Apprentice position, stipend is Rs.1850 pm and for Trade Apprentice position, stipend might be Rs.1490/Rs.1970 pm based on their qualification.

Educational Qualification:

Graduate Apprentice: Candidates must be degree holders in Electrical/computer/electronics/chemical or mechanical engineering/technology from an institution approved by AICTE.

Technician Apprentice: Candidates must be diploma holders in civil/instrumentation/electronics/mechanical/chemical engineering/technology from an AICTE approved institution.

Technician Apprentice (Vocational): Candidates must have completed their 10+2 in the designated vocational subjects of stenography/office secretary/auditing & accountancy.

Age: For all positions, candidates must be between the age group of 16 and 25 years of age as on the 1st of July 2011, which is relaxable up to 3 years for OBC candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates)
