The education expense increased in such a pace in India that it is profitable to pursue your course in abroad rather than in our country. The increasing demands for foreign universities strengthen the criteria for getting admission. Unlike the past decades now for getting admission into the foreign universities one must score well in any of the TOEFL or IELTS exam.

What is TOEFL/ IELTS?

Test of English as a Foreign Language is a common and popular test for the aspirants. Around 8,000universities across the world accepting the TOEFL score for the admission purpose for the foreign students. International English language Testing System is another leading test for evaluating the English language proficiency. When a student from India wishes to take a course in some other country where English is accepted as the common medium for communication, he must have good score/band in either of these exams. The exams are mainly applicable for the student’s wishes to pursue their courses in European and American countries.

Make a Study Plan

Most of the universities and countries are asked for a minimum score in these exams for applying any courses offered by them. For example America and UK stands for 8 to 8.5 in the 9 band scale. This means the cutoff is so high for getting admission into the well known institutes. A good score is always counted as 7 and above and the candidates need to have a sound preparation to score high in the test. You should have a proper planning for preparing for the exam and try to follow the same. It is good to design your own plan and style for the preparation purpose.

How to Write Good Essay?

Writing essay is an important part in these exams. The students are asked to develop an essay in the given topic with in the limited time. If you have good practice you can get through this part.

During your preparation time randomly select a topic and try to develop the content for that. This will help you to give a sort of confidence when new topics are given at the time of exams. When you hear any new subject, definitely you can try to get some initial thoughts over them and write down those ideas roughly. Then elaborate those points with your language proficiency. When you have such a rough plan for writing an essay, you can easily write a story of 150 to 200 words. This method also will help you to reduce time for the particular part.

Practicing will also help you to understand your weak areas and thus you will be able to correct the attention areas also. You will be able to identify your language flow, grammar strength etc.

When you are writing an essay there should be a structure for it like an introduction, a body and a conclusion part. There are many formats available such as the 3773, 35553 etc. The first one is a four paragraph essay having three sentences in induction and conclusion part and seven sentences in the body structure. The second one is denoting a five paragraph essay with three sentences in the introduction and conclusion part and five in the body part. These are some standard format for the exam and there are many format is available for the students. One can take the suitable one for them.
