Company profile: It is the largest of all ISRO centres. VSSC is one of the lead centres for the development of satellite launching vehicles. It carries out research and development in the field of aeronautics, avionics, composites etc. It looks ahead to promote space technology for the socio-economic development of the country.
Job profile: The role of the assistants will be to help the senior officers in various departments and prepare reports about the various requirements of the project and research work.
Eligibility: Only Indian nationals can apply. The age of a candidate will be given in the advertisement when available on the site.
Education required: A candidate must have a 3 year diploma in Mechanical engineering/Refrigeration and AC/Computer science and engineering/videography or cinematography.
For scientific assistant – a candidate must have a degree in physics or chemistry.
No. of posts: There are 21 posts in total. 19 are for technical assistant and 2 are for scientific assistant.
Pay scale: The pay scale for Rs9300-34800 + a grade pay of Rs4200.
Selection procedure: The candidates will have to appear for an interview. They might have to appear for the written test if held by the organization.
How to apply: The eligible candidates may visit the website www.vssc.gov.in for applying online. The applications will be filled online only. The site will remain open from 27-07-09 to 07-08-09.
