Paper pattern:
The paper on Applied Mathematics called the paper three comes in the third semester of the Chemical Engineering stream of the Mumbai University. It is a numerical based paper with very few topics on theory like definitions and statement of the various theorems that are encountered in the paper on Applied Mathematics. Each question is of 20 marks and there are a total of seven questions in this paper. One has to choose and attempt any five, except for the fact that question number one is a compulsory question. So there is an option of choosing any four from the rest six questions.
Maximum marks and time allotted:
The paper on Applied Mathematics paper three is a hundred marks paper and it has a credit of four. One is allotted three hours to complete the paper on numerical and little theory on the concepts. The paper also has 50 marks for oral examinations and attendance.
