Clerical Cadre, Institute of Banking Personnel Selection
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is an independent entity which came into existence in the year 1984. Dr. Manmohan Singh was the first Chairman of the governing body of this institute. The main idea behind the establishment of the institute was to promote the professionalism in talent acquistion and also to promote the placement of human capital at various tiers within the organization. The institute was registered as a Public Trust under the Bombay Public Trust Act of 1950. The institute comes under the control of Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Ministry of Science and Technology.
Job Profile:
Institute of Banking Personnel Selection is going to conduct a Common Written Examination for making recruitment of eligible candidates on the posts of Clerical Cadre. The institute has recieved mandates from 19 public sector banks to conduct test twice in a year for filling up the posts of Clerical Cadre. Candidates will be recruited in Allhabad Banks, Oriental Bank of Commerce, United Bank of India, Indian bank, Bank of Baroda, Bank of Maharashtra, Indian Overseas Bank, Corporation Bank, United Bank of India etc.
Eligibility:
Candidates must be either a citizen of India, a subject of Nepal, a subject of Bhutan, a Tibetan Refugee etc.
The minimum age limit set for the specified position is 18 years as on 1 August 2011.
The maximum age limit set for the specified position is 28 years as on 1 August 2011.
Age relaxation will be provided to the candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-Serviceman categories as per the rules of Government of India.
Educational Qualification:
Matriculation or SSC or SSLC or 10th standard with atleast 60% marks in aggregate is required for applying for the specified posts. However, SC/ ST/OBC/PWD/Ex-SM candidates, who have just passed in the 10th standard are also eligible to apply for the post. Candidates with Graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university are also invited to apply for the specified positions.
No. of posts: Several posts are available.
Application Fee:
An application fee of Rs. 350 is need to be submitted by the General and OBC categories candidates. However, SC/ST/PWD/EX-Serviceman candidates are required to submit an application fee of Rs. 50 only. Candidates can submit the application fee either by online or offline mode of payment. Application fee can be paid online at the time of filling the application form online through the online payment gateways of the banks.
Selection Process:
Selection process of eligible candidates is consist of two stages:
i. Competitive Written Examination.
ii. Group Discussion/Personal Interview Test
How to apply: Candidates must apply online at the official website of Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. The registration link for making online application will be made available at the website from 25 August 2011 onwards. All interested candidates should apply online on or before the last date for the reciept of online application.
