The recruitment of Probationary Officer in public sector banks is based on written examination and Interview. To be eligible for such written examination, one needs to hold a bachelors degree and be within the age limit of 21-30 years.
For most of the entrance examination conducted by the public sector banks, including Common Written Exam conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection, graduates in any discipline are eligible, irrespective of the marks secured in the same.
However, having a good academic record definitely help in the later stage of the selection procedure, but as far as the initial stage is concerned, no matter how much you scored, you are eligible to apply for the examination.

For further information, refer to the notification published by the Banks as well as by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection. The notifications are published on the official websites of the respective banks and for Common Written Exam, the notification is published on the official website of the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection.

To sit for the bank po exam you need to have a degree from any recognized university.

Age should be between 20-30 years.

Written exam pattern is:- reasoning, english language, quantitative aptitude, general awareness, computer knowledge and descriptive paper on english composition.

The exam is conducted by the IBPS.

for appear in this exam you must have to possess graduation in any stream from a recognized college.
minimum 60% & 55% needed in 12th & graduation .

age limit 21-30, there are 5 & 3 years of age relaxation are applicable for SC\ST & OBC candidates.

NO . of attempts-
4 for GENERAL CANDIDATES.
7 for a OBC CANDIDATES
no such restriction for SC\ST candidates.

The Academic Eligibility Criteria you require for Bank PO post is that you must have completed your graduation from any recognized college / university with a minimum of 55% marks.

There is also a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST/OBC candidates .

Bank PO post eligibility:

2.your age must be between the 21 to 30 years.
3.you must be indian citizen.

AFter complete the gradaution you can apply for the bank Po posts.

BAnk Po you have to write the IBPS exam.
Selection in the IBPS exam:

2.English
3.General knowledge
4.General aptitude

Bank Po Eligibility :

Complete a degree or equivalent with min of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) from a recognized university

Age Limit

20 to 30 years for General
20 to 33 years for OBC
20 to 35 years for SC/ST

I have only scored only 40% in graduation. I come under ST. Passed IBPS 2012. My CWE and interview score is 59 and have been allotted Bank of Baroda. Please advise if there can be an issue with selection process now because of my percentage in my graduation.

The academic eligibility criteria for bank P.O. post is Graduation Degree in any stream.

P.O. - Probationary Officer, the exam for which is generally conducted by SBI & IBPS(Institute of Banking Personal Selection) for 19 Public Sector banks.

Regarding other Criteria, the candidate aspiring to apply for SBI/IBPS
P.O. exam, must be an Indian National having completed Graduation Degree from any stream from a recognised University without any percentage of marks criteria within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The candidate should be a computer literate one.

Some private banks require percentage of marks criteria in Graduation above 50% in order to apply for their P.O. exam.

YES, you can apply

PO exams are conducted by IBPS for 20 nationalised banks

Eligibilty for the IBPS PO exams:
Graduation Pass
Age should be between 20 and 30 years
OBC gets 3 years and SC/ST gets 5 years age relaxations.

SBI also conducts its own po EXAMS.
Eligibilty is same as IBPS for the SBI Po exams also.
