Paper Description

Random Signal Analysis paper deals with the random variables, probability distribution function, probability mass function, power spectrum, energy spectrum etc. The subject forms a vital part of the Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering. The students will find its application in various practical field and will find it very helpful.

Paper Pattern:

The Random signal analysis paper contains 7 questions; total questions to be attempted are 5. Ratio of theoretical and numerical questions is 2:3. Question no. 1 is compulsory, and rest 4 are to be answered from rest 6 questions. Last questions in the paper are of graphical type. Each question in the paper is of equal marks. Questions are to be solved with the help of diagram if required in a question.

The paper contains questions such as central limit theorem and its derivation, axiomatic definition of probability, definition of strict sense stationary, WSS random process, definition of Markov chain, applications of Markov chain, random variables functions, random process as convergent & divergent, numerical question on communication system, n-step transition probability, graph on Sine angles etc.

Total marks and time allotted:

Students can obtained a maximum of 100 marks in this paper. Time allotted for the students in the paper are 3 hours only. Each question in the paper is of 20 marks. The paper is of numerical as well as theoretical questions.
