Admission Process for B.Tech in IIT Kanpur

The joint Entrance Examination (JEE) is an all India entrance test for the admission to various B.Tech courses in all IIT’s including IIT Kanpur. The candidates who have passed in 10+2 board examinations or equivalent with at least 60% in aggregate can apply for this test. Even foreign candidates satisfying the qualification criterion can apply for the test.

Candidate can obtain the application form for JEE from the official website of the institute. The completed application form is to be sent to the specified address along with necessary documents.

The entrance exam consists of two papers. The screening paper is the first paper which is usually objectives. The candidates who clear the first paper have to appear for the second paper, which is the long answer type question to test the reasoning ability.
